Bid and win – especially since the kids of the charity organisation “Licht ins Dunkel” (Light into darkness) will profit from the results of the Charity Action during the European BikeWeek at Lake Faak.
A Custombike-Show for a good cause, that was this years result of the 3rd edition of the Custom Chrome Europe Ride-In Bikeshow – never before was the show highlighted by such a great spirit of charity for kids as in 2005. Ever since its founding in 2003, the show entry is charged with a € 10,- fee – which in fact is overcompensated by the CCE “Show-package” which includes catalogue, souvenirs, certfiicate and bons for drinks. Impressed by thursdays “Penz Charity Run” for the benefit of Kids, Custom Chrome Europes Managing Director Holger Mohr not just spent the full € 500,- but added another 500,- for the good cause!
The applause was just topped, when Best of Show” Winner Frank “Franky” Wiesman announced to spend his win – a brandnew RevTech 6-speed gearbox – for the Charity action too! A great move from Franky and Ivonne, who both won trophys at the CCE Bikeshow with their HPU build Choppers. NOW ATTENTION CUSTOMBIK FANS: The 6-Speed RevTech Gearbox will be auctioned of by Penz Custombikes in the FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER at the german www.ebay.de website. You probably never got a RevTech 6-speed that cheap – and for a good cause too! Going, going – go... for it!
We very cordially thank Holger Mohr and its team as well as Frank Wiesmann!

. Bigger for Charity: Penz Charity Ride 2005
More Bikes more products, more donations: Penz Charity Ride a huge
success!
Ever since the introduction of the Penz Charity Ride, the thursday of
the European Bike Week has been established as THE date for both the
run to help kids & people through charity and the introduction of new
parts. As always at lake Faak, the overall increase was huge: More
attenders, more money, more spectators - all of which added to the
incredible sum of more than Euro 7.000,--. A great success for the
good cause. The run itself started thursday afternoon 2 p.m. at the
Penz Custombikes booth at the Arneits Village, rolling halfway around
the lake and along scenic roads over the Drau river to Velden/Lake
Woerth for the presentations at the "American Bar" opposite side of
the Velden Casino. Rolling in a convoy of more than 200 machines made
heads turn - the parade is getting bigger every year.
Awaiting the crowd, show presenter Frank Sander had the sponsored
prices ready:High valued donations for the charity raffle came from:
W&W Cycles, SKS Bikeshuttle, Ricks, Müller Motorcycles, DFDS Seeways,
Desert Riders California, Freaky Motos, Violator, Avon Tires, Biker's
Power
Magazine, Huber Verlag, Custom Only, Eagle Shades, Europarts Zodiac,
NLC, Red Bull, UHS and others. Before the raffle started, the traditional product presentation was
perfomed
by
world-exclusive introduction of the new Rick's single piece forged
wheels, both "solo" and mounted on a stunning Chopper build by swiss
custom pro's "Fat Attack", who used a new frame build by Penz
Custombikes
as
a solid base for an xtraordinary clean custom. The Team of Fat Attack - minus their boss Urs Erbacher who won his
3rd european Dragrace Championship this weekend in England - was the
first to get a set of the secretly produced wheels developed by Rick's
during the last months. After the wheels were uncovered, the raffle
tickets sold fast and main Organiser Anita Köhler from Penz
Custombikes had a hectic time to hand out all the prices. The business
and private partner of Peter Penzenstadler, who even build her own
motorcycle last year, is the driving force behind the charity run: "I
always felt that, if business is good, we should give something back
to people who need it", explains Anita, "and I'm happy that our
engagement triggered such a great response!" "Licht ins Dunkel" (engl.
Light into Darkness) is the austrian mother-organisation for several
charity organisations caring for the handicapped and underprivileged kids.
Following the presantation, most guests and participants rode on to
the "1000 PS (=hp) Bar", where host "Freaky" of Freaky Motors had a
drink ready for every participant of the ride: Music and food made for
a relaxed chill-out of the afternoon. Special thanks to Holger Mohr from Custom Chrome Europe, Marcus Pfeil
and Fred Kodlin, who donated generously: Marcus Pfeil added a complete
Custom Paintwork to the Raffle and Fred Kodlin had a custom-build
chopper bicycle, shaped after his Sturgis-Ride, auctioned off during
the Carinthia-Chapter Bike-giveaway on Saturday. The bicycle was build
on-site during the event, as late as saturday during the CCE Ride-Inn
Bikeshow, Marcus Pfeil applied the paintwork. Even the "Best of Show"
winner of the Custom Chrome Europe Bikeshow, Frank "Franky" Wiesmann
got caught in the spirit of Charity, spending his win - a brandnew
6-speedRevTech gearbox - to be auctioned of for the Penz Charity Run
in the first week of october along with a SKS-Biketransport to one of
the main european meetings! Watch that at e-bay! .
